Gorilla Habituation is one of the tourist activities done in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and involves training gorillas to get used to human presence. This activity is eco-tourism at its best! The park is home to an estimate of 400 mountain gorilla population, including several habituated groups which are open for tracking by tourists. It is a biologically diverse region that also provides shelter to 120 mammals, including several primate species such as baboons and chimpanzees, as well as elephants and antelopes. There are around 350 species of birds hosted in this forest, including 23 Albertine Rift endemics.
