Kwalape Safari Lodge is on the Chobe River between the towns Kazungula and Kasane in northern Botswana. Close to the entrance of the Chobe National Park and 70km from Victoria Falls. It's a laid back place and a good base camp.
Just 3km away is an argument. You see, some say this is the world's only 'quadripoint' - a place here 4 countries meet. Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Others say, "No, no, no. Rubbish. Can't you see? There's a gap. It's about 100m. That means it is two separate TRIPOINTS. Fools."
Hmm... Muse on. Whilst you're at home. Here at home. For here means home. Or rather ‘Kwalape’ means home. Confused? Well, home sweet home this is. Sitting on a slope of the Chobe-Zambezi river valley. Just 3km from the confluence of these great rivers. Hence 3km from the quadripoint/tripoint debate. Discuss.

Activities
You're on the Chobe River near the Chobe National Park so you obviously have all that wildlife bounty to enjoy. You can go on boat cruises and game drives and the lodge can help arrange trips for you.
Watch elephants in the river or hippos doing their wallowing thing. Giraffe and antelope come for a drink and you'll no doubt see a predator or two lurking. The lodge has a small boat which is rather like a mobile hide. Good for photography enthusiasts.
As are the game drives. Impala are everywhere and giraffe tend to wander lots too. As do buffalo.
The Kazungula Ferry that crosses the Chobe River into Zambia is a little over 6 miles from the lodge.
If you want to go out out, Victoria Falls day trips are on offer. They're only about an hour's drive away from the Lodge. Stunning, naturally. Lots for adrenaline junkies too. White water rafting, bungee, kayaking and more.
You can also fish, visit a nearby snake park or go to Mowana Golf Course.
