Hidden on a sleepy bend of the Talek River, in the midst of the Masai Maraâ€™s endless savannah, our exclusive Tented Camp is the perfect place to start your safari. Our spectacular location on the river guarantees an abundance of wildlife viewing without even leaving the camp: lions, buffalos, wildebeest, elephants and even leopard regularly come to drink! All our tents are pitched along the banks of the Talek, only a few feet from the river and sit on their own elevated wooden platform, offering privileged views. With a total of 28 tents, we have 3 separate camps to choose from: Hippo Camp, Buffalo Camp and VIP Camp; each with its own unique characteristics and charm. Choose your tent category and your accommodation plan; full board or game package (which includes 2 daily game drives in our specially adapted 4x4 land cruisers) and enjoy the best safari experience in Kenya!

Each Classic Tent in the Hippo Camp is pitched on its own wooden platform with private verandah overlooking the Talek River. Measuring 21m2, the classic tent, also our most economic option, is comfortably furnished with twin beds dressed in the finest Indian cotton, warm duvet and Masai blanket, carpeted flooring, locally made wooden furniture, solar panel lighting and sewn-in mosquito nets. A small safety box is built into each single bed which guests can use to store small valuable items and secure with their own padlock. The private en-suite bathroom includes a regular flushing WC and closed shower area with hot running water 24 hours a day.

Meals are served in the Hippo Mess Tent, shared with 11 other tents.

A game package plan is available which includes 2 daily game drives in our exclusive 4Ã—4 Toyota land cruisers, specially designed and adapted for safari and include individual power points for charging cameras, phones etc. Our experienced driver-guides are at your service, to ensure you encounter the most spectacular wildlife experience in the most famous nature reserve in the world.
