Gorilla tracking in Mgahinga Forest takes between 2-6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. The activity is a bit tiring since it involves long walks and hike, ensure u are fit for it. As you move through the forest, several bird species can be spotted like birds like the African green broadbill, Grauer's rush warbler, Chaplin's flycatcher, African giant swallowtail among others. Primates like monkeys and baboons can be seen too.
When you find the gorillas, you will be given an hour to watch them interact with each other, play, feed and groom. Keep your distance and it is allowed to take photos of the mountain gorillas.
