Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale National Park

Chimpanzee shares up to 98% of the human DNA, which makes them our closest relatives. The search for chimps in this great tropical forest brings you to close to these endangered primates in their natural habitat. The activity starts with a briefing at the park headquarters in Kanyanchu Visitor Centre.

This primate walk is an all year round activity and the walks are done 3 times a day, at 8am, 11am and 14pm and the tours last between 2-5 hours. Contact time with chimpanzees is limited to one hour; group size is limited to six visitors; participants must be aged 16 or over.
