Oddballsâ€™ Enclave is a small, secluded off-shoot of the Okavangoâ€™s most famous destination, set on the same beautiful island and with spectacular views over the floodplains and old-growth forest of the island fringe. With just five elevated â€˜mini-meruâ€™ walk-in tents, each en-suite, with single or king beds and fine linen, The Enclave is the perfect venue for small groups, families and those seeking an intimate atmosphere in which to luxuriate in one of the worldâ€™s most beautiful settings.

Totally solar-powered, The Enclave has made no concessions to those who would insulate themselves from the environment â€“ while the tents are thoroughly netted to deny ingress to mosquitoes and insects, the bathrooms are al fresco and feature our very own design of the traditional African bucket shower â€“ hot, generous and on-demand. Likewise the deck and dining areas are elevated and open to command sweeping views.

The activities at The Enclave are identical to those at Oddballsâ€™ itself â€“ a maximum of two guests per guide, the freedom to do what you please and when, free of the demands and constraints of other guests, genuine, hand-made dug-out canoes (no fiberglass replicas here), unarmed walking on Chiefâ€™s Island and the Moremi Game Reserve, and the opportunity to visit your guideâ€™s village â€“ totally uncontrived and brimming with character.

Subject to water levels, an additional attraction at The Enclave is a mokoro trail into the further reaches of the delta. All equipment and provisions are packed into your mokoro as you set off with your guide for an unforgettable wilderness experience. Camping equipment is provided (tent, sleeping mat and pillow, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans, food) but you must bring your own sleeping bag.

Your trail will take you along winding channels lined with reeds, into the Moremi Game Reserve, an area renowned for its diverse bird and animal life. For those going out on trail, there is an additional â€˜wilderness camping feeâ€™ of P200 per person per night, which goes to government. Children are welcome, the food is delicious, and the drinks on the house.
