Bonne Esperance is a boutique guesthouse nestled in the charming enclave of Stellenbosch – known for its majestic mountains, lush vineyards and plethora of history, arts and culture. The 17 room guesthouse is set in a Victorian villa that was built in 1907 and has retained its old-world charm with the welcome addition of modern comforts to ensure our guests revel in a perfect stay. A major revamp was undertaken in 2019 which incorporated new and contemporary bathrooms, adding balconies to all the courtyard rooms and redecorating all the rooms in a classic contemporary style. This project was undertaken with utmost respect for the heritage value of the property every step of the way. The end result is a beautiful harmony between the old and the new.
Bonne Esperance translated from French means "Good Hope" and true to our name we aim to create a space where guest can feel refreshed, revitalised and inspired during and after their stay. The Guest House is situated on the perfect corner of Stellenbosch and within easy walking distance of the historic core of the town where all the restaurants, shops and side-walk café's are located. While staying here, our guests have the perfect opportunity to relax in our superbly comfortable lodgings whilst enjoying the stunning surroundings that Stellenbosch has to offer.
