Itinerary Accommodations

Mara Leisure Camp Day 1 - 2

Located within the Masai Mara Game Reserve, you’ll have front row seats to witness the ‘Great Migration’, where around two million animals pass through the Masai Mara/Serengeti ecosystem in Kenya and Tanzania.

Set in what is considered Kenya’s prime wildlife area, Mara Leisure Camp is located along the Talek River, at the confluence of the Masai Mara’s four wildlife viewing areas, on the northern boundary of the Masai Mara Game Reserve.

Mara Leisure Camp is located within one of the most spectacular locations in the entire Masai Mara Game Reserve. One of the most exciting spectacles in the world is that of the ‘Great Migration’, where two million wildebeest, zebras and other herbivores pass through the Masai Mara/Serengeti ecosystem in Kenya and Tanzania. This is a perilous migration for the animals, where they encounter many river crossings, and have to run the gauntlet of crocodiles in waiting.

Naivasha Sopa Lodge Day 3

Set in one hundred and fifty acres of grassland studded with Acacia bushes and trees, the resort is not only home to our resident giraffe, waterbuck and both Vervet and Colobus monkeys, but it is also a night stop for the hippos when they leave the lake every night to come and trim the grass on our expansive lawns.

With Sopa’s traditional and conscientious care for the environment, we carefully positioned all the buildings on our property so we did not have to fell any of the many trees there. As a result of this, we had to come up with a radically innovative and artistic design for the main public area building which now snakes its way between the trees with long and graceful curves.

It is also why you might well ask just why our two swimming pools with a children’s section and a pool complex with its bar, snack kitchen, pizzeria and health spa; our tennis court; our two conference halls with their four differently sized meeting areas, and our stables are so widely set apart.

Amboseli Sopa Lodge Day 4

Set in 200 acres of private land and with a rustic charm all of its own, the lodge nestles in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjarowhich, at almost six thousand metres, is Africa’s highest and most famous snowcapped mountain.
Spacious cottages are interspersed throughout this large property, so your guest room may be a bit of a distance from the restaurant and other common areas.
Major Attractions are
Mt. Kilimanjaro
Large herds of Elephants
The Big Five
Observation Hill which allows an overall view of the whole park, especially that of the swamps and elephants,
The swamp below Observation Hill hosts many elephants, buffaloes, hippos and a variety of water birds like pelicans and Egyptian geese.
Contemporary Maasai culture and indigenous lifestyle

Moivaro Lodge Day 5

Welcome to Moivaro Coffee Plantation Lodge & Estate, the lodge where you will stay in a charming atmosphere and enjoy every comfort you need.

Moivaro Lodge is situated right in the heart of beautiful, natural scenery and yet is only 7 km from the town of Arusha: an ideal spot to enjoy the impressive flora and fauna of East Africa.

At Moivaro Lodge we will ensure that you are looked after in a unique, friendly and peaceful manner, helping you to prepare for your safaris and cosseting you on your return in the evening. Our spacious thatched brick cottages are set in a lovely tropical garden, with private verandas ensuring every visitor all the privacy needed. Relax and enjoy the beautiful views of Mount Meru from the comfortable veranda, go for a stroll around the Moivaro property, or laze at the pool nestling in the midst of tropical trees and coffee plants.

As a daily activity we arrange the Moivaro Village Walk. A unique opportunity to see everyday life in Tanzania and make closer contact with the local people. You can visit a local banana brewery and sample its beer; or hear the story of a local eccentric, and marvel at the tree house he fashioned for himself. A walk is typically 2 hours long and can involve a climb up Oldonyo Maas Hill for those looking for a more demanding experience.

Country Lodge Karatu Day 6

Located on the outskirts of Karatu, a quaint country town on the Great Escarpment, midway between Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Country Lodge is situated in the centre of Northern Tanzania’s green belt district and farming community.

Country Lodge Karatu symbolizes simple country comforts, providing pleasant and affordable lodging in the heart of Tanzania’s rich and scenic highlands. We are the ideal ‘Stepping Stone’ for safaris into Ngorongoro Crater and beyond, as well as other travellers visiting the area.

ThornTree Camp Day 7

The latest in Bougainvillea Group of Lodges’ group of camps and lodges, ThornTree Camp is a classic tented safari camp located in Seronera area of Serengeti National Park, about fifteen minutes from the Seronera airstrip and visitor’s centre. The camp is open year round; offering traditional Tanzanian hospitality and great food.

The camp is permanently based in central Serengeti, in the Seronera Valley, home to year-round wildlife due to the constant presence of water. This area is famous for spotting lion, leopard and large herds of elephant. Views from the campsite look across onto Banagi Hill and classic vistas of the Serengeti Plains.

The entire camp is powered by solar including hot water and electricity.

Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge Day 8
